Kinaru Akuchi has no memory of her past, the only remaining connection is the indigo orb around her neck. On the eve of her 16th birthday, it glows, transporting her to the home of her birth, where a strange man reveals her past: she's a vampire. Now, with the aid of a sarcastic cat, she must learn to cope with the new changes her body is undergoing, and learn to live as a vampire. But she must be careful, her parents' killer is still out there, and they want to finish the job.
